2024 Disaster Recovery Funding Allocation
Storms Debby, Helene and Milton
Unmet Needs Survey
Sarasota County will receive $210 million in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds to support long-term recovery efforts from the 2024 storms Debby, Helene and Milton. Funds can be used for restoration of infrastructure and housing, economic revitalization and mitigation with a focus on assisting low- to moderate-income households.
Community members are invited to participate in the newly launched Resilient SRQ unmet needs survey to provide feedback for the county’s recovery action plan. The survey results will help guide the use of funds for recovery efforts following Hurricanes Helene and Milton and Tropical Storm Debby in 2024.
The survey is open from Monday, Jan. 27 through Saturday, Feb. 15.
